After SVT's review of Bok och hav - which, among other things, showed hidden costs and disputes related to the literature festival - its future looked uncertain.

But now the festival has returned - and it is with more changes than just the new board.

Among other things, the festival has been centralized to the main square in Karlskrona and one of the new goals was to try to reach a wider audience.

That is why a "Children's book and sea" has been created this year.

- How do we get children to read more?

There have been many different types of questions that are important about literature, says Marcus Sandekjer, who is one of those that the new board consists of.

Premiere for a completely new price

During the last day of the festival, it was the premiere of the new journalist award Laurelia Prize, to be awarded for the first time.

The first to receive the new award was the journalist Jens Svensson from the newspaper Sydöstran.

- Writing committed with a beautiful language is something we want to encourage through the award, says the author Ingemar Lönnbom who was the award presenter.

The rest of the day was focused on reflecting literature and poetry from Ukraine, with Ukrainian refugees on site reading selected poems.
