“Taking into account the positive feedback and numerous wishes of foreign citizens, the head of the Belarusian state decided to extend the right of visa-free entry, exit and stay in the Republic of Belarus for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia until the end of 2022,” the ministry said.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted that such a constructive approach, based on the interests, first of all, of ordinary people, can serve as a guide "for our Western neighbors in terms of finding ways to normalize relations and the difficult situation in the region."

Earlier, Belarus approved visa-free entry to the republic for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia until May 15.
