According to the prosecutor, the 38-year-old is suspected of having been out to steal the couple's car and other valuables from the villa.

But the robbery failed.

The couple was at home and managed to keep the suspected perpetrator at bay, even though the man in the house was threatened with a firearm.

On the same day, the man is said to have tried to enter a holiday home to steal goods.

This time too, the crime must have failed and the prosecutor describes it as an attempt at burglary.

Other robbery attempts

The 38-year-old is also charged with a second attempted robbery - an incident that is said to have taken place at a home in Arboga on 22 January.

The man must then have broken into the house while a woman, a man and their children were in the house.

The 38-year-old is suspected of having been armed with an iron pipe and a knife when he abused and threatened himself with the keys to the family's car.

But even though he had a key, he should not have started the vehicle.

DNA traces

On all occasions, the police must have found DNA traces from the suspect.

In addition, they have managed to link his phone to the crime scenes.

The 38-year-old denies all crimes.
