Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, acknowledged that the approval of the embargo on oil from Russia may take more time, but expressed confidence that the decision would be made.
The US State Department noted that the United States is striving to help Europe find alternative gas suppliers to replace Russia as soon as possible.
