“A criminal case has been initiated against servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art.

356 of the Criminal Code of Russia (ill-treatment of the civilian population, the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare),” the agency said.

As the investigators established, on May 13, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and members of the Ukrainian military formations, using the Uragan MLRS, “made targeted artillery fire on civilian infrastructure facilities.”

As a result of the shelling of a gas station, one person was killed.

“Two employees of the RT film crew and two civilians received injuries of varying severity, who were taken to the city hospital.

Three cars and nine apartments in residential buildings in the city of Dokuchaevsk were also damaged, ”the press service of the Investigative Committee writes.

Persons involved in the commission of the crime are being identified.

On May 13, the film crew of RT war correspondent Valentin Gorshenin came under rocket fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Dokuchaevsk: cameramen Vladimir Batalin and Viktor Miroshnikov received shrapnel wounds.

The military commander Gorshenin was not injured.

Later, the journalist reported that the rocket attack was inflicted on the gas station.

At the time of the shelling, the film crew stopped at a gas station to buy coffee.

The correspondent also said that there were no military facilities near the shelling site.

Operators Batalin and Miroshnikov told how they got under a missile attack.
