"Happiness to the General Secretary" series of reports

"Ma'anshan Village has undergone earth-shaking changes, and we are now living a good and happy life!"

A beautiful scene is always unforgettable.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has cared about his country and the people. From top-level design to grass-roots inspections, he has traveled all over the country, inspecting people's feelings and asking questions, leaving many vivid pictures.

In order to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, People's Daily Online launched a series of reports on "Happiness Talks to the General Secretary". Those ordinary cadres and the masses who had a happy conversation with the General Secretary recalled the unforgettable scenes and combined with the great changes in life, they all have one thing in common. The desire of the general secretary - to tell the general secretary the words from the heart, all the simple words compose a symphony of a better life for the people in the new era.

Inner Mongolia in May is full of spring, full of vitality, and a busy scene of spring ploughing.

In Ma'anshan Village, Haraqin Banner, Chifeng City, villager Zhang Guoli and his wife Zhao Guoxia are planting mountain grapes in their fields, and a photo of General Secretary Xi Jinping when he came to visit the home is hung in a prominent position in their living room. Warm and touching.

On the afternoon of July 15, 2019, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Ma'anshan Village during his inspection tour in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia.

The general secretary walked into the house of villager Zhang Guoli, went into the kitchen, looked at the toilet, went to the house, asked him about his income, and learned about the family's life. prosperity and national unity.

Recalling the scene of the day, Zhang Guoli couldn't hide his excitement: "After the general secretary entered the hospital, he took my hand and asked, 'How old is Lao Zhang', when I heard it, the general secretary seemed to be chatting with me. It's like, I'm not so nervous all of a sudden." What makes Zhang Guoli most proud is, "Our family is a big multi-ethnic family, including Manchu, Mongolian and Han, and now four generations have lived together." The general secretary praised their family. For the home of national unity.

"On that day, the General Secretary patiently listened to our introduction to the use of rural toilets, and hoped that we will continue to improve rural public infrastructure, improve the living environment in rural areas, and focus on garbage and sewage treatment, toilet revolution, and village appearance improvement. The construction is more beautiful." Zhang Guoli said.

For more than two years, Ma'anshan Village has always adhered to the development concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", "ecologically established villages, industrially prosperous villages, and strong tourism villages" while seeking local economic development. The two leading industries of tourism, driven by the "menu-style" poverty alleviation and the strong and the poor, have achieved full coverage of industrial poverty alleviation.

In order to further extend the industrial chain, the "two committees" of the village took the lead in establishing a wine industry limited company, and always purchased local grapes at a protective price of about 0.5 yuan higher than the market price. Today, there are 240 grape growers in the village, and the planting area of mountain grapes is 240. Up to 3500 acres.

The mountain grapes in the village "cluster" the industrial chain of rural revitalization, driving farmers to increase their income by 1,000 yuan per mu.

The villagers not only sold "red" grapes, and cultivated "prosperous" grapes in the mountains, but also formed an industrial development path of "grape + cultural tourism".

At present, Ma'anshan Village has received 270,000 tourists, and has developed more than 10 farmhouses and 3 homestays.

The booming rural tourism has not only greatly increased the sales of agricultural and sideline products such as fruits and mountain goods, but also allowed more villagers to enjoy the benefits brought by industrial development.

In the past, Zhang Guoli "worked part-time in his spare time, and slumped to the ground when farming was busy, so his annual income was only 4,000 to 5,000 yuan."

"My wife and I have planted 4 mu of mountain grapes, and we can earn more than 30,000 yuan a year, and I was also hired as a red instructor in the village. This job also has a monthly salary of 2,500 yuan. The income is probably more than 60,000, which is something I never dared to think about before.”

Today, the ecological benefits of Ma'anshan Village have gradually turned into economic benefits, and the prosperous villagers have also begun to actively participate in ecological construction and environmental protection actions as masters.

Ma'anshan Village not only installed more than 100 classified garbage bins, but also renovated toilets in the villagers' homes. Zhang Guoli's family used a microbial degradable toilet: "It cost 3,500 yuan to renovate the toilet, and the government subsidized 3,000 yuan. This kind of toilet has passed the Microbial degradation, no water, no odor, clean and functional.”

There are sorted garbage bins in the village, and village cadres often teach the villagers the knowledge of garbage sorting, and the awareness of environmental protection in the whole village is getting stronger and stronger.

"If I have the opportunity to see the general secretary again, I must tell him that Ma'anshan Village has undergone earth-shaking changes. We are now living a very good and happy life!" Zhang Guoli said with a smile.
