The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported early this morning that Israel carried out an "attack" with missiles on the outskirts of the countryside of Quneitra Governorate, southern Syria.

The agency said that Israel targeted with missiles the vicinity of the town of Hader in the northern countryside of Quneitra, adding that the bombing resulted in material damage only.

During the past years, Tel Aviv launched dozens of air attacks on Syria, targeting in particular army sites and Iranian and Lebanese Hezbollah targets, according to the Israeli version.

Tel Aviv rarely admits to carrying out strikes in Syria, but it reiterates that it will continue to confront what it describes as Iran's attempts to establish its military presence near it.
