• Taxation Madrid launches a calculator so that citizens know where their tax money goes

Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Vox maintain a kind of pulse to take credit for a new tax reduction, in this case a greater bonus

of the Inheritance and Donation Tax between uncles and nephews

.

The president of the Community of Madrid confirmed last week her intention for it to come into force in 2023 and Rocío Monasterio's party came forward this Tuesday announcing that it will take to the Regional Assembly on Thursday, May 19, a Law Proposal that it registered two years ago months to materialize it.

Specifically, the party that supported the investiture of the regional leader proposes that inheritances in this degree of kinship be

exempt from taxation at 99%

, as is already the case between parents and children.

The proposal is far from the initial approach that has been made in the Government of Puerta del Sol, where an increase in the bonus of 10% is contemplated, which is currently applied up to 20%.

“The best way to help improve the prosperity of the people of Madrid is through tax cuts.

And we want to say with absolute satisfaction that we are delighted that Mrs. Ayuso informed us yesterday [on Monday] that she is going to accept our Proposal for a Law on the Inheritance and Donation Tax bonus", announced this Tuesday the deputy spokesman for Vox,

Íñigo Henríquez de Luna

, at a press conference.

In the PP, on the other hand, they did not confirm their support for this initiative which, they recall, "was already announced by the president last year in view of the

plans for this 2022"

, and they warn that they will have to see "how that proposal fits in" within the plans of the regional government until the end of the legislature.

In the opinion of the spokesman for the popular in the Assembly, Alfonso Serrano, "the fact that Vox is now trying to get ahead (...) will be to get a headline."

What both parties that fight for the same right-wing electorate do agree on is that the Inheritance and Donations Tax is

"tremendously unfair, immoral and confiscatory"

because it supposes a "double taxation", of the heirs and the relatives of those who they receive the goods.

In contrast, the Ministry of Finance aspires to a "harmonization" of this tax so that there are no differences between autonomous communities.
