“Of course, we believe that this will be resolved through a diplomatic process, through a diplomatic solution,” she said at the briefing.

Psaki also said that several attempts were made to ensure a ceasefire, "at least in small parts of Ukraine."

According to her, Washington supported these attempts.

At the same time, she stated that the readiness of the Russian side to participate in the diplomatic process is necessary.

Psaki also said that the United States considers the support of Kyiv to be a constructive role, and not negotiations with Moscow in the current situation around Ukraine.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is in favor of continuing negotiations with Ukraine, despite the fact that they are not going well.

The minister also noted that the NATO countries are doing everything to prevent the completion of the Russian special operation in Ukraine by reaching political agreements between Moscow and Kyiv.
