Israel is preparing with "chariots of fire" for any scenario

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Defense Minister Benny Gantz participated in a part of the annual "Charios of Fire" maneuvers.

Bennett said, "We are not looking for a confrontation, and we do not want a confrontation, but we are ready for any scenario if it exists. The enemy knew that if we were dragged into confrontation - he would pay an unbearable price. The Israeli public should know that the State of Israel is stronger than all our enemies combined, and we will be Always ready."

As for Gantz, he considered that “the visits of the political level in this exercise are important, and the political level has to decide matters, but his ability to decide matters is fundamentally and clearly linked to an understanding of what is possible and required.”

This week, the Israeli army began a large-scale military maneuver lasting 4 weeks, called "chariots of fire", in which regular and reserve forces from all leaders, arms, bodies and army units participate.

Chariots of Fire is a unique exercise aimed at increasing the readiness of the army and testing the suitability of the troops for a strong and long-term battle.

In a statement, the army stated that the Chief of the General Staff, General Aviv Kohavi, identified the required and necessary achievements from the exercise, the most important of which are:

  • Improving the military capacity and readiness for war, with a focus on the use of high-frequency operations, with strikes, reinforcement of defense and multi-dimensional maneuvers by training all levels from the general command to the most extreme military field units.

In addition to taking lessons from the "Keeper of the Fences" campaign, and adopting them as part of the exercise throughout the entire month.

  • The exercise is multi-level and includes military units and arms, as the exercise includes integrating multi-arm and multi-dimensional capabilities in ground, air, naval, and cyber combat, in addition to the capabilities of security services and various government ministries. The exercise will examine the course of action and its effectiveness from the top of the pyramid: the General Staff to the soldier the last one.

The exercise simulates different scenarios for the multiple challenges that the battlefield may witness, as well as scenarios of transition from routine daily life to emergency situations in the military and civilian fields.

In addition, military plans will be approved according to previously trained scenarios, and the possibilities of securing various services and life-saving efforts on the home front will be tested.
