On the first day of his inauguration today (10th), President Yoon Seok-yeol was busy going back and forth between Yongsan, where his office was prepared, and Yeouido, where the National Assembly is located.

This morning, I took over the command of the military and went into official work, and at this time, we are currently holding a dinner party.

At 0 o'clock in the morning today, the sound of the Bosingak bell announced the inauguration of the new government, and the president's first duties began at that time.

Commander of the military was transferred from the situation room of the National Crisis Management Center under the Yongsan Presidential Office.

After moving to his home in Seocho-dong and taking a break, President Yun Seok-yeol left his home at 9:50 am and carried out his first day of inauguration in earnest.

At around 10 am, he arrived at the National Cemetery in Seoul National Cemetery, Dongjak-gu, and wrote in the guestbook, “We will make a nation of people living well together.”

At 11 am, the highlight of the day, we arrived at the Yeouido National Assembly where the inauguration ceremony of the 20th president was held.

In front of more than 40,000 attendees, I solemnly swore to faithfully fulfill my duties as president.

After attending his inauguration ceremony for over an hour, President Yoon went straight to the old Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan.

Before entering his office, he took a moment to catch his breath while chatting or taking pictures with local residents at the nearby Senior Citizens' Center and Children's Park.

From 12:30 pm, the first approval of the motion for appointment of Prime Minister Han Deok-soo was made.

After that, I met with foreign guests one after another, including the spouse of U.S. Vice President Emhoff and Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi, who visited Korea to attend the inauguration ceremony.

Then, I returned to the National Assembly again at 4 pm and attended the celebration held in the lobby of the main building of the Capitol.

Without a moment to catch my breath, I returned to my office in Yongsan and met with the diplomatic delegation including Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan.

A little while ago, at 7 pm, I also attended a dinner for foreign guests held at the Shilla Hotel Youngbin in Jangchung-dong.

From Yongsan to the morning schedule from Yongsan to his home, cemetery, and National Assembly, then to Yongsan and the National Assembly, and from Yongsan to the dinner hall in the afternoon, President Yoon had a busy first day, traveling 42 kilometers, seven times today.
