A 31-year-old man was fatally stabbed this Sunday morning in a bar in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis).

He was seriously injured by a stab wound to the thigh, said a police source as well as the Bobigny prosecutor's office (Seine-Saint-Denis).

The blade severed the femoral artery, one of the largest blood vessels in the human body.

The 30-year-old was picked up around 6 a.m. in a street in Aubervilliers and taken to hospital.

He died there.

An investigation for “murder” was carried out and entrusted to the judicial police service of Seine-Saint-Denis.

Decisive clues

"The circumstances and the motives remain very unclear at this stage," said the Bobigny prosecutor's office about the death of the victim.

On the public highway, the investigators noticed traces of blood.

Following them, they went up to the bar where the deadly assault allegedly took place.
