A cattle truck carrying 180 pigs overturned on the A7 motorway near Loriol-sur-Drôme (Drôme), this Monday around 8:40 p.m.

A tire on the vehicle burst, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

About fifty pigs were thus ejected or found themselves free on the road.

Some animals have perished.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident, specifies France 3 Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

Prevent stray pigs

About fifteen firefighters, gendarmes and Vinci Autoroutes agents were mobilized to try to prevent the wandering of the pigs and avoid a new accident.
