“On May 9, with complete inaction of the police, extremists disrupted the wreath-laying ceremony at the cemetery of Soviet soldiers in Warsaw, using violence against the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Poland S.V. Andreev and other members of the diplomatic mission,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a Telegram message.
It is noted that "a strong protest was expressed to the Polish authorities for indulging, in fact, neo-Nazi thugs."
The Russian Foreign Ministry demanded that Warsaw immediately organize a wreath-laying ceremony, ensuring its complete safety from provocations.
