In Russia, 197 natural fires were put out in a day

“For a day in 35 regions of Russia, forest services and involved persons eliminated 197 forest fires on an area of ​​10,427 hectares,” TASS reports.

According to Avialesookhrana, there are currently 78 more fires on the territory of the country on an area of ​​more than 11.8 thousand hectares. 

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that in almost all federal districts of Russia, with the exception of the Central, a difficult fire situation is predicted for the upcoming May holidays.
