We divide the editorial staff between SVT Västerbotten, SVT Jämtland and SVT Västernorrland and there are several municipalities in our coverage areas that now have a physical presence by the reporter Moa Lindberg.

This is a matter of democracy, we citizens need to be informed and committed.

Several voices and perspectives that local journalism provides are necessary for everyone to be able to be enlightened and take a stand on various issues in society.

Sweden reflection is also an important term.

When the national news is to cover the whole country in the app or in Report 19.30, municipalities in this coverage area must also be included.

That's why it's so important that we base a reporter Dorotea.

We do it to become better at reflecting the everyday life of people in Dorotea, Vilhelmina, Åsele, Strömsund and Sollefteå - to be first in place, to ask the most pressing questions and listen to the voices and perspectives that are there.

At its best, local journalism has the ability to build community.

It is my hope that our increased presence in southwestern Västerbotten contributes to capturing our time by producing our own news about people, culture, politics, schools and companies.

SVT has for a few years invested in increasing its presence in the country.

This year, in addition to Dorotea, we will open editorial offices in Sveg, Västervik and Åmål.

At the end of the year, SVT will be available in 48 locations around the country, the goal is to soon reach 50.

What do you think we should monitor in Dorotea and its surrounding municipalities?

What stories are not told?

What should be examined?
