“Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed investigators to investigate and identify those involved from among the Ukrainian security forces who fired on May 9, on Victory Day, settlements of the DPR and LPR, as well as Kherson,” the statement says.

Earlier, the head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, said that the Russian air defense forces over Kherson shot down Uragan missiles fired by the Ukrainian military.

Prior to this, the People's Militia of the LPR stated that the air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Tochka-U missile on approach to the village of Novaya Astrakhan.
