A 19-year-old delivery man working for Chronopost is suspected of having stolen packages in Yvelines.

The young man would have taken advantage of his tours to get his hands on the objects, reports

this Friday.

To do this, he did not scan them.

After noting the disappearance of several parcels between January and the beginning of February, a manager of the Chronopost agency in Versailles had filed a complaint.

He claims to have misplaced the packages

Elancourt investigators managed to identify a suspect thanks to CCTV footage.

The respondent would have targeted large boxes and those containing mobile phones or even a PlayStation 5. In total, he is suspected of having stolen 26 packages for damage estimated at 15,000 euros.

The man was arrested last week at his home in Plaisir, then placed in police custody.

He would have explained that he took care of the packages but did not steal them.

He reportedly said he had lost them.

The police did not, in any case, find the missing objects.

The delivery man will soon be summoned to court.
