Following a change in the law in August 2020, no permit is required from the Privacy Protection Authority for municipalities to set up cameras in station areas.

Safety coordinator David Lundin says that the cameras have had an effect, but that they have noticed that it has instead become more messy in other places in the village.

During the spring, people stayed in basements nearby instead of on the bus square.

- But then you have to work on getting them out of there and hopefully it will stop being a problem after a while, says David Lundin.

Most Broby residents do not seem to have a problem getting filmed.

- You have the feeling that big brother sees you, says Broby resident Anette Carlsson about the cameras - but she is still positive that they have been set up.
