China News Service, May 6. According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency" report, Lu Xipai (real name Wu Ruixuan), the son of well-known Taiwanese artist Wu Zongxian, was seized by the police in December last year for possessing marijuana cigarettes.

The Taipei District Prosecutor's Office considered that Wu Ruixuan had no previous drug convictions and had a good attitude after committing the crime, and today suspended the prosecution for one year and paid 100,000 yuan (NTD, the same below).

Prosecutors investigated that Wu Ruixuan went to a nightclub in Xinyi District on December 25 last year for consumption. At 1:30 a.m. on December 26, he walked out of the store to chat with his first acquaintance.

When the police in the jurisdiction were on foot patrol, they smelled a strong smell of marijuana on Wu Ruixuan's body, and immediately went to the police station for investigation. The drug rapid reaction reagent was used on the scene to detect that he was holding a cannabis cigarette. The police arrested Wu Ruixuan and took him back to the police station for interrogation.

Wu Ruixuan confessed to using marijuana cigarettes during the police interrogation, and the police transferred him to the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office in accordance with the Drug Harm Prevention Act.

The prosecutor ordered 100,000 yuan on bail after retrial.

The prosecution sent Wu Ruixuan's urine for testing, and the result was negative for cannabis metabolites.

Prosecutors believe that even if the defendant confesses to the crime, there is no evidence to convict him of second-degree drug use, and he will not be prosecuted.

However, for the possession of marijuana cigarettes, the prosecutor determined that Wu Ruixuan was involved in the second-level drug crime under the Drug Harm Prevention Regulations, and considered that Lu Xipai had no previous drug conviction, had a good attitude after the crime, and expressed deep remorse, and deferred the prosecution. Punishment for a period of 1 year, and pay 100,000 yuan within 6 months from the date when the deferred prosecution sanction is determined.
