With our correspondent in Montreal,

Alexis Gacon

Tatiana, of Ukrainian origin through her father, was living alone with her husband in their house in west Montreal when the war broke out.

Now that has changed a lot: it houses three families who fled Ukraine.

To be able to accommodate them, Tatiana has launched major works.

She is dividing rooms in two because other families are to arrive.

Here, there is a family of three,

she describes.

There is Yaroslav, Maksym and Yudinia.

We split this room in two.

These are rooms that have been reserved for mothers with small children.

Tatiana's neighbors take turns every day to provide her with a large dish.
