  At about 12:20 on April 29, a resident's self-built house collapsed in Wangcheng District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, causing heavy casualties.

According to the relevant laws and regulations of the state, the State Council decided to set up an investigation team to investigate the “4.29” particularly major collapse accident of residents’ self-built houses in Changsha, Hunan.

  The accident investigation work will follow the principles of "scientific and rigorous, in accordance with laws and regulations, seeking truth from facts, focusing on practical results" and "four never let go". Proposals for handling shall be strictly investigated and held accountable in accordance with discipline, law, and regulations, and a responsible account shall be given to the families of the victims and the whole society.

  The investigation team of the State Council is led by the Ministry of Emergency Management, with the participation of relevant parties. At the same time, authoritative experts in construction, safety, law and other fields are invited to form an expert group to provide professional support for the investigation work.
