Sinn Féin will be the largest in Northern Ireland

Sinn Féin gets 29 percent in the election to the regional parliament, an increase of 1.1 percentage points, reports the BBC.

The biggest loser will be the former largest party, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), which backs 6.7 percentage points and lands at 21.3 percent.

In the local elections in England, Scotland and Wales, the ruling Tories have backed down.
