Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, severe diarrhea, fever, jaundice, seizures, and loss of consciousness, but the exact cause is unknown.

  Siti said when the patient was transferred to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital, "it was already in a critical condition and the hospital had little time to rescue it".

One of the patients had another disease before being diagnosed with suspected acute hepatitis.

But Siti did not say which patient and which disease it was.

  Siti said that according to hospital examinations, all three patients tested negative for the new coronavirus.

All 3 had no family history of congenital hepatitis.

  The Indonesian Ministry of Health confirmed on the 3rd of this month that three children in the country died of hepatitis of unknown etiology at different times in the two weeks before April 30.

No cases of the same hepatitis have been found so far.
