Emmaboda residents have had to boil the water since Monday - the water leak is the cause

The recommendation concerns households in Emmaboda and Lindås, and is valid until Emmaboda Energi announces that it no longer applies.

- The water leak must be remedied but the recommendation remains, says VA manager Marie Nilsson.

They write on their website that final analysis results of the water supply network are expected before a new recommendation will be given.

Drinking water tanks are located in four different places where you can fetch water in your own can or vessel.

This applies to those affected

On Emmaboda Energi's website, they have written that all residents should boil all water that is to be used in cooking, for coffee and also to brush their teeth.

Unboiled drinking water can, on the other hand, be used for showering, watering flowers and washing dishes.

Will the recommendation be valid all weekend?

- Yes, it will.
