“For schoolchildren from the 1st to the 4th grade, there will be a lesson dedicated to Leningrad and the feat of the inhabitants of the city during the war, children from the 5th to the 8th grade will learn about the courage of the defenders of Stalingrad.

High school students will get acquainted with the International Action "Garden of Memory", designed to perpetuate the memory of the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War and soldiers who defended the honor and dignity of their homeland.

Children of preschool age will take part in the lesson “Bird of Peace in Defense of the Homeland” and learn why the dove is called the bird of peace,” the press service reports. 

As noted in the message, the lesson is held "with the aim of forming patriotism on the example of the heroic deed of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as creating such a spiritual and moral foundation as historical memory."

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of ​​raising the flag and singing the anthem in schools at the beginning of the school week.
