, a 26-year-old man was tried on Tuesday by the criminal court in Reims (Marne) for having attempted to steal the same television twice… on the same day.
The facts date back to December 4, 2021. That day around 12:45 p.m., the respondent was seen on his neighbor's balcony in possession of a television.
He was then arrested, placed in police custody, before being released with a subsequent summons.
He tries his luck
But the man had more ideas.
In the evening around 11 p.m., the neighbor discovered the same individual in his living room, who was trying to leave again with the television in question.
The man was therefore arrested again, not without difficulty since he injured a police officer in the ankle.
He then had an alcohol level of 1.5 g per liter of blood.
Tried for theft by escalation but also rebellion, the defendant was sentenced to four months in prison.
