A total of 253 participants are registered for the competitions, which are decided in the Sports Hall's huge basement rooms.

Two of the participants are Manfred Hedström, 17, and Liv Markström, 23 - both competitors for Örebro Kraftsportklubb.

Being able to compete in the Swedish Championships at home is special.

- It's great fun and it's very good for the club above all.

It brings in money to the club that we who compete can benefit from when we are out on other competitions, says Liv Markström, who hopes to pinch a bronze medal in the junior class.

Do your last youth-SM

Club friend Manfred Hedström is doing his last youth-SM and he too is aiming for a medal.

- This is my fifth Swedish Championship competition, and if I do not come home with a medal this year, then I will be really sad.
