Police officers in Seine-et-Marne recently dismantled a cannabis trafficking network following an investigation lasting several months.

An operation was thus launched on the night of April 27 to 28, reports

Two vehicles returning from Spain with a shipment of drugs were intercepted.

350 kg of cannabis seized

Several suspects were arrested at their homes located in the Melun sector.

A hundred police officers were mobilized on the operation as well as a helicopter from the gendarmerie.

The number of defendants has not been specified but they have all been remanded in custody.

The police also seized more than 350 kg of cannabis resin and large sums of cash.
