Three minors were sentenced this Wednesday by the children's court of Béziers (Hérault), after the fires which ravaged the Tamaris primary school and the Krafft college, on the night of Halloween, October 31, 2019, in Béziers.

One of them, 15 years old at the time of the events, prosecuted for the burning of the two establishments and the violence against the police, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment, including one year accompanied by probation for two years.

Justice also sentenced him to work, or to study and to compensate the victims.

He was also banned from owning or carrying a weapon for five years.

A major was sentenced in January

Another, 16 years old at the time of the events, who was accused of having participated in the fires, was sentenced to three years in prison, including eighteen months accompanied by a probationary sentence for two years.

He also has the obligation to work or study, and to compensate the victims, and does not have the right to possess or carry a weapon for five years.

Finally, a third, 15 years old at the time of the events, who was only prosecuted for having participated in the throwing of projectiles at the police, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, suspended on probation for one year, with the obligation to work or study.

A major has been imprisoned since his sentence to five years in prison, two of which were suspended, by the Béziers criminal court on January 28.
