“I stated to the Prime Minister my convictions that the Western Balkans belong to Europe, all these states should enter the EU in the future, including Kosovo,” said Scholz, quoted by RIA Novosti.

He called on the Kosovo authorities to participate constructively in negotiations with Serbia.

In April, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke of the hypocrisy of the West due to the supply of Javelin anti-tank missile systems and NLAW anti-tank guided missiles to the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo.

According to him, Serbia does not join the West's anti-Russian sanctions because of the principle of reciprocity, as well as because of the agreement on gas supplies and support for Kosovo.
