- I request all four detainees for murder because I believe that all four were involved, prosecutor Johan Henningsson told SVT.
One of the men, who is in his 20s and a resident of Kalmar municipality, has previously been convicted of, among other things, assault, drug offenses and unlawful threats.
Most recently in October last year, he was convicted of minor drug offenses.
The other man, who is 25 years old and a resident of Kalmar municipality, was convicted as recently as February this year of aggravated drunk driving.
The youngest who is wanted in custody is a young man in the 17-year-old from Nybro municipality who has previously been convicted of assault and unlawful threats.
It is unclear if there is a connection to previous murders
It was during Saturday night that the quarrel between about ten people degenerated in Berga in Kalmar municipality where a man in his 25s had to be taken to hospital due to serious stab wounds.
The man died later on Sunday as a result of his knife injuries.
If it is related to the previous murders that took place in the spring in Kalmar, it is something that prosecutor Johan Henningsson cannot answer yes or no to.
- Right now there is no indication that it is linked to the previous murders.
But there is something behind why this has happened, and we have not come to what it is.
So it is not possible to answer yes or no to that question now.
The investigation must show that.
