Then maybe ?

A time excluded, an agreement between rebellious France and the PS could be signed for the legislative elections, bringing the Socialists into the famous NUPES (New popular ecological and social union), the LFI-EELV-PCF label.

An "agreement in principle" has been found on the constituencies, the Socialists obtaining 70, and a "global agreement is on track" for the legislative elections, the PS leadership announced on Wednesday.

"Discussions on the merits should continue this morning," said the source.

Selective “disobedience” to Europe is one of them.

"The National Council of the PS will be seized as soon as possible of a global political agreement and it is he who will decide if he validates the content", added the management of the PS.

Rebellious and socialists have been negotiating since last Wednesday.

The former had sent an ultimatum to the latter on Tuesday evening, but discussions continued overnight on the thorny issue of constituencies, in view of the elections on June 12 and 19.

The PS wanted to keep the maximum of its twenty outgoing deputies.

But LFI, in a position of strength after Jean-Luc Mélenchon's 22% in the presidential election, considered its interlocutors "too greedy" given their score of 1.7% in the presidential election.
