It was last autumn that the students and teachers at Puoltikasvaara school in Gällivare jumped on the Glada Hudik theater's school project

Children are not born with prejudice - Catwalk in school.

The purpose of the project is to increase awareness of intellectual disabilities in society, reduce stigma and change views and attitudes towards people with functional variations.

The students won a trip to Stockholm

Part of the project was to do a good deed and the students came to the conclusion that they would shovel snow for the elderly in the village.

They then made a film which they submitted to the competition - which they won.

The prize was a trip to Stockholm and an award ceremony with a gala in Avicii arena.

Puoltikasvaara School, which has twelve students, is one of six schools that will then receive a secret prize.

- It's great fun, but still a little nervous, says student Tina Olofsson.

The six winning classes will also get to visit Gröna Lund, which opens its doors only to the students.

The school will be in a documentary

Puoltikasvaara school will also be seen in the sequel to the film

Catwalk

, which premieres this autumn.

- They thought that our good deed to shovel snow to the elderly was good, so we became the selected school that they will make a documentary film of.

It's about the

Catwalk - what happened next

, the film will be an hour long and will be broadcast on Swedish Television this autumn, says teacher Anette Johansson.

Approximately 3,500 schools around Sweden with almost 87,000 children participated in the competition.
