Prime Minister Kishida, who has visited Southeast Asia and Europe, has arrived in Italy, his fourth country of visit.

He will meet with Prime Minister Draghi on the 4th to discuss the situation in Ukraine and to meet with Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church.

Prime Minister Kishida arrived in Rome, the capital of Italy, around 3 pm Japan time.



On the 4th, we will hold a summit meeting with Prime Minister Draghi at the Prime Minister's Office.



Prime Minister Kishida wants to confirm the further strengthening of G7 cooperation, considering that the visit to Southeast Asia showed the difference in position between the G7, which is taking strict measures against Russia from each country, and the seven major countries.



In addition, Prime Minister Kishida will visit Vatican, the center of the Roman Catholic Church, for the first time in about eight years as the Prime Minister of Japan, to meet with Pope Francis and with Secretary of State Palolyn, the Prime Minister of Vatican.
