China News Service, May 3. According to Peru's "Gazette" report, Peruvian Health Minister Jorge Lopez clarified on the 2nd local time that the new crown vaccine for children produced by Pfizer and AstraZeneca has not expired.

  Last week, Maria Martínez, executive director of immunization at Peru’s health ministry, reportedly warned that about 300,000 doses of Pfizer’s children’s vaccine would expire on April 30.

  Meanwhile, the Office of the Auditor General of Peru reported that 1.04 million doses of Pfizer’s children’s vaccine were in excess, which would take more than 64 days to administer, given that the Ministry of Health applies an average of 16,041 doses of children’s vaccine in a week, but this batch of vaccines Expires on April 30.

  In response, Lopez said, "According to official reports, no vaccines from AstraZeneca or Pfizer expired on April 30."

The minister also said that he will meet the Auditor-General on the 4th local time, "no vaccines have expired, there is no need to cause anxiety in the crowd ... everything has to be explained clearly".

  It is reported that so far, Peru has vaccinated its residents 72 million doses of the new crown vaccine.
