The first beginner's course in malung language that is currently in progress comprises 20 hours.
Then all students should understand the local dialect and also be able to write a little.
The course was expanded to 22 places.
But there are more interested in a waiting list.
- I think this is a small trend.
But we must also attract the younger ones to speak more dialect, says Inger Döhl who hopes that there will also be a continuation course in Malung dialects in the future.

Of course there are dialects in Dalarna but the Dalskan in Mora, Orsa and Älvdalen and maybe a few other places are their own languages that are certainly related to Swedish but the Dalskan has its own history long back in time.
