The Houthi militia escalated its violations of the UN truce in Yemen during the past few hours, by launching violent attacks on Yemeni army and resistance positions in Ma'rib Governorate, and bombing residential neighborhoods in Taiz.

Head of the Presidential Command Council Rashad Al-Alimi was briefed on the situation on the ground in Marib in light of these violations and attacks through contact with the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Sagheer bin Aziz.

Al-Alimi praised the heroism and sacrifices of the Yemeni army and resistance forces, which confront those violations that threaten the collapse of the UN armistice.

The Houthi militias pushed further combat reinforcements to the western, southern and northwestern Marib fronts, after they failed to achieve any breakthrough on the Al-Kasara front west of Marib.

Field sources confirmed the arrival of 17 Houthi combat vehicles carrying dozens of militia members to the Serwah district, west of Marib, in preparation for launching another large-scale attack towards the city of Marib, after the failure of the attack launched at the dawn of the first day of Eid al-Fitr, which was confronted by the Yemeni government forces and the local resistance.

The Houthi militia launched sporadic and widespread attacks on the positions of the Yemeni army and the resistance in the Al-Kasara front, west of Marib, using various types of weapons, including drones, with the aim of achieving a breakthrough towards the Al-Tala’a Al-Hamra area and the Al-Masari hill on the outskirts of the city of Ma’rib.

Field sources reported that the attack was repelled and a Houthi attack drone was shot down, as well as the destruction of vehicles, killing and wounding many Houthi elements.

In Al-Jawf, a Yemeni soldier was killed and another wounded in an attack by the Houthi militia on a Yemeni army site east of the city of Al-Hazm, the provincial capital. The militia also bombed the city of Taiz with heavy artillery for the second day in a row, causing injuries and damaging a number of civilian homes.

The Yemeni army command in Taiz called on all combat units to raise their readiness, vigilance and caution in light of the Houthi militia's continuous violations of the truce, the most recent of which was the bombing of residential villages west of the city on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

In addition, the Saudi project to clear mines in Yemen "Masam" announced the removal of 1,833 mines planted by militias in various regions of Yemen, during the fourth week of April, including 1,195 anti-tank mines, and 638 unexploded ordnance, thus increasing the number of mines that have been cleared so far. During the month of April, 6,356 mines were removed, bringing the number of mines removed since the beginning of the "Masam" project to 335,893 mines that the Houthi militia had randomly planted in separate areas.
