Green Youth's Aida Badeli believes that the Swedish NATO debate is irresponsible as several parties have turned on the issue in recent months.

At the same time, she believes that if Sweden is a way into NATO, it should be done through a referendum.

- Most people know that you do not make the best decisions when you are afraid, so I think it requires a broader discussion and support among the Swedish people.

This will be a historic decision that will affect us for 30-40 years to come, she says.

"NATO is not the only solution"

At the same time, she says that both Green Youth and the mother party, the Green Party, stand firm in their opposition to NATO.

- It seems to be believed that NATO is the only solution to stability and peace.

The biggest difference is that we would join a nuclear alliance.

We all know that it is the most dangerous thing there is, the Swedish people do not want to see nuclear weapons.

The Center Party's youth union wants to see a Swedish NATO membership as soon as possible.

The biggest argument is precisely Sweden's security, according to union president Réka Tolnai.

- What we now see we have warned about for several years.

We should simply agree to ensure that we become allies, and to be able to guarantee a safer Nordic region against Russia, she says SVT's current.

"Voice at the table"

As for the nuclear alliance in NATO, she instead emphasizes the importance of Sweden having a voice at NATO's negotiating table.

- Nuclear weapons are a terrible weapon.

But NATO is a defense alliance and it is based on the countries defending together.

Through an item, we also get a voice at the negotiating table that we do not have today, says Réka Tolnai.
