Two men were placed in pre-trial detention, pending their trial in the criminal court, on May 30, for a series of robberies, in April, in the Gard, the services of the gendarmerie indicated on Monday.

On April 13, the two suspects, one of whom was armed with a revolver, are suspected of having burst into a supermarket in Salles-du-Gardon before closing time and of having been given the contents of cash (about 300 euros) by the hostess, in front of customers.

The next day, they are accused of having stolen 250 euros from a gas station in Alès.

On April 19, they are suspected of having committed a new robbery, in another service station in the department, this time carrying 800 euros.

An important research device, deployed by the gendarmes, made it possible to arrest the two suspects, a few hours after the last robbery.
