The phones of the Spanish Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense exposed to “external” spying

The Spanish government announced today that the phones of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Defense Minister Margarita Robles were subjected to an "external" eavesdropping, through the Israeli spyware "Pegasus".

In a statement, the government described the wiretapping of the Spanish Prime Minister and Defense Minister's mobile phones, using the Pegasus spyware, as an "illegal interference".

According to Agence France-Presse, Felix Bolanos, the Spanish Minister of Presidential Affairs, confirmed the news, saying: "This is not an assumption, these are very dangerous facts recorded in the year 2021," adding: "We want justice to be served."
