Three craftsmen attacked two colleagues with knives on Labor Day in Frankfurt.

One of those attacked suffered life-threatening injuries from a stab in the upper body, but is now out of danger;

the summoned police arrested the suspects, as reported.

According to her, the knife attack took place in the Fechenheim district at around 9:45 p.m.

The trio ambushed the 22 and 29-year-old victims and suddenly stabbed them.

"Two companions of the injured were able to prevent worse by pushing the stabbers back," the police explained.

The companions would have taken the injured and his colleagues to a hospital.

The trio is a father, his son and his nephew without permanent residence in Germany.

They are due to appear before a magistrate on Monday.

The Frankfurt murder commission is investigating and also wants to clarify the background of the attack.
