The former boss of a bar-restaurant in Fouesnant (Finistère) appeared before the Quimper criminal court on Friday.

He was sentenced to six months in prison, three of which were suspended, for trafficking and consumption of cocaine, reports Côté Quimper.

The defendant used this drug regularly and made it available to his employees.

In pre-trial detention for two years

He had been arrested in August 2020 in the context of a case of rape and pimping denounced by his former companion.

Placed in pre-trial detention since then, the now 48-year-old man appeared for the first time on February 18.

He had requested and obtained time to prepare his defence.

At the hearing, he acknowledged a consumption of one gram of cocaine per week.

He, on the other hand, denied having incited his staff but admitted having participated in their consumption and having involved them in his drug purchases.

At the end of the debates, the man was finally kept in detention.
