The indictment concerns extremely serious drug offenses and drug smuggling.

According to the prosecutor, the evidence situation is very good thanks to both reconnaissance work, seizures and encrypted chats that have been able to take part with the help of American authorities.

- What we received from the USA clearly shows the organizational structure and who governed.

Those who delegate to others but do not sit with the drugs themselves, says Anna Arnell.

Amphetamine was hidden in flower boxes

The organization must have imported large consignments of drugs to Sweden during December 2020 to May 2021, which were then resold in smaller consignments.

The suspects are estimated to have made profits of around SEK 4 million.

Pictures from the investigation show, among other things, how amphetamine was smuggled into flower boxes.

- Police and customs seizures consist of several different types of drugs such as cocaine, amphetamines, cannabis, crystal and tramadol to a street value of almost SEK 110 million, says Commissioner Torbjörn Munther, reconnaissance leader at the Police Authority Region Central in a press release.

In the encrypted chats between the accused, the police were able to find pictures of drugs.

Managed the network from Spain

The investigation that led to the indictment has had international connections to both Spain, the Netherlands and Austria.

Two of the accused leaders have been based in Spain but have now been transferred to Sweden.

One of the leaders is a man in his 40s who has previously been described as a leading actor in Uppsala's criminal world.

- It is an important network that we have managed to stop.

This is seen based on the police's knowledge of the people over time and based on the seizures made, says Anna Arnell.

The trial is expected to begin on May 16 in Attunda District Court and last until mid-November 2022.
