The Houthi group accused the coalition countries of obstructing peace efforts and demanded the United Nations to pressure them to fulfill their obligations, while the Yemeni government accused the Houthis of disavowing the implementation of one of the terms of the armistice.

The Houthi Prisoners Affairs Committee said that the countries of the coalition - led by Saudi Arabia - are obstructing proposals and initiatives for the file of prisoners during Ramadan.

And the Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV quoted a member of the negotiating delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, as saying that "every day that passes from the age of the truce, one of the windows for peace is closed."

These statements came after the coalition announced last Thursday that it would release 163 Houthi prisoners who participated in the hostilities against the kingdom.

He pointed out that the procedures will be carried out in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross, in order to transfer them to Sana'a.

Houthi disclaimer

On the other hand, Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani accused the Houthis of reneging on their commitment regarding the revenues of oil derivatives received through the port of Hodeidah.

Al-Eryani explained that the Yemeni government, on its part, has committed itself to granting the necessary permits to two ships per week, in implementation of the terms of the armistice declaration.

1- The terrorist Houthi militia repudiated its obligations to direct the revenues of oil derivatives coming through the port of Hodeidah to cover the salaries of the employees of the state’s administrative apparatus in its areas of control, despite the government’s commitment to grant the necessary permits for two ships per week to the ports of Hodeidah in implementation of the terms of the armistice announcement under UN sponsorship

On April 1, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced that the parties to the conflict had agreed to a two-month truce that could be extended.

During the past days, the Yemeni government and the Arab coalition on one side, and the Houthi group on the other, exchanged accusations of violations of the current truce.

oil fields

Meanwhile, local sources in the Hadhramaut Governorate, southeast of Yemen, said that the Emirati-backed Hadrami Elite Forces have intensified their deployment around the region's oil fields.

The second military region said in a statement that the commander of the Companies Protection Force, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Maari, directed the expansion of military deployment around all fields of the oil sectors.

Last Tuesday, Hadrami Elite Forces closed a main road leading to the districts where oil export fields and ports are stationed, for security reasons, as they described.
