It is noted that senior sergeant Vitaly Devyatov, during the demining of the area, quickly defused four camouflaged land mines.

He also discovered and, as part of a group of sappers, neutralized six anti-tank mines.

“Missile and artillery units under the leadership of Colonel Alexander Muratov destroyed a nationalist radar station, three air defense systems, four howitzer artillery installations, one multiple launch rocket launcher and 11 platoon strongholds,” the defense ministry said.

In addition, Senior Lieutenant Ilya Sapegin with his platoon blocked the settlement controlled by the nationalists in order to prevent their counteroffensive.

The Russian military repelled the offensive of the Ukrainian troops, and Sapegin destroyed the enemy ATGM crew.

Earlier, the commander of the Central Military District, Alexander Lapin, presented state awards to Russian servicemen who showed courage and heroism during a special operation in Ukraine.
