In his opinion, "bookmarks" are especially characteristic of freely distributed software, but one cannot exclude the possibility that representatives of unfriendly countries "may also introduce undocumented features into their software that performs protective functions."

“Software that performs protective functions is related to information security and has elevated privileges in the systems on which it performs protection.

In fact, such privileged software, in the presence of undocumented capabilities, can completely take control of the system on which it is installed, ”Tatarinov added.
