In addition to being a poet in residence at the Sami pavilion, Timimie Märak participated in meetings with other indigenous peoples in the art world.

Aabaakwad 2022 was held during the weekend, meetings and conversations between indigenous peoples who work with art.

- When you end up in a company and can tell without having to explain, then you know that you have ended up right, says Timimie Märak, poet in residence at the Sami pavilion during the Venice Biennale.

"There is no limit to what we can achieve"

Liisa-Rávná Finbog, who has been involved in curating the Sami pavilion, believes that indigenous cooperation is important.

- I think cooperation between indigenous peoples is absolutely essential.

If indigenous peoples are united in the world, we are 370 million.

There is a large number of people and when we come together in solidarity and support each other's goals, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
