According to the report, Russian law firm Chernyshov, Lukoyanov & Partners said Apple violated the rights of Russian consumers by restricting the use of Apple Pay services from March 1 due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The law firm said the lawsuit, filed in a Moscow court, seeks 90 million rubles in compensation from Apple, including "moral damage" to Russian users.

It also wants Apple to restore Apple Pay for Russian users.

According to reports, the exact amount of the claim may increase because the law firm is still inviting more Russian users to join the class action.

Konstantin Lukoyanov, a senior partner at the law firm, said that Apple headquarters had decided to suspend the sale of Apple products in the Russian market and limit the provision of services there.

"As a result, our lawsuit seeks to target the parent company first and its subsidiaries second," Lukyanov said in a statement.
