At the crossroads of terroirs and gastronomy.

A regional producers' market will take place on April 29, 30 and May 1 on the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville in Paris.

This event called “Les Toqués de l'Agriculture” is organized by Terres Innovantes, the endowment fund for Young Farmers (JA), in partnership with the association Le Tour des terroirs and with the sponsorship of chef Guillaume Gomez.

The idea that germinated in 2019 but was thwarted by the Covid-19 pandemic is not just to make a simple farmers' market.

“The objective is to bring together different players to communicate better, explains Samuel Vandaele, President of Terres Innovantes.

Our job is food and to promote it, we have to partner with gastronomy.

This is why, in addition to the presence of regional stands with local producers, on Sunday, chef ambassadors of the Tour des Terroirs will be selling dishes made with local produce.

"I am delighted to sponsor this event, because I regretted that the chefs and producers did not speak to each other too much," says Guillaume Gomez, former chef at the Elysée Palace.

But without farmers, we cannot do our job.

And without chefs, there are fewer outlets for production.

The emphasis will be on “friendliness” promises Samuel Vandaele.

"On Friday evening, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be an

side with boards to taste and a refreshment bar where the prices will be a little below the prices charged in Paris", announces Arnaud Gaillot, general secretary of the JA .

And a week after the second round of the presidential election, the secretary general is counting on that "Les Toqués de l'Agriculture" will appease the climate because "we always manage to find an agreement around a good wine and a good flat ".
